Nathan Faulkner Parr

NATHAN FAULKNER PARR
1896 – 31st December 1917

Nathan Faulkner Parr was born in 1896 in Eccles. He was baptised in Eccles on 10th June .

His parents were Nathan born in 1849 in Eccles, who was a Greycloth Manufacturer and Louisa Ellen Taylor born in 1855 in Urmston .

Nathan and Louisa both died in 1930 and are buried in St Catherine's Churchyard, Barton.

In  1911 Nathan was living in Barton Road,Barton Upon Irwell.

Nathan enlisted in Manchester. He joined the 2/6th Battalion of the Manchester Regiment, service number 251710.

He was Killed in Action on the 31st December 1917 in France and Flanders.

He is buried in Ypres, West Flanders Belgium.

He was awarded the Victory and British Medals.

He is remembered with honour at the Menin Road South Military Cemetery.
