Community Garden

OUR YOUNG PEOPLE,THEIR FAMILIES, June 2019 and we are sharing our produce!!

Children have picked strawberries for them selves and also for our older congregation members. The rhubarb is also ready to be picked. Our parishioners who live on their own or as a couple and now have 1 or 2 sticks of rhubarb without having to buy a bunch!!

In 2019 our young families, both on Sunday mornings, Monday afternoon at Play and Stay and Early Birds morning playgroup have been helping in our Community garden. This area is being developed by a small group of our older congregation members. We now have raspberries, blackberries and loganberries growing. Our young people have helped to plant potatoes, sprouts, carrots, beans and onions. Our small gardening team have also planted peas and tomatoes. Herbs and wildflowers too for all the bees and insects! Please contact us if you can help with evening watering or daytime gardening.
